First German training week a success
From February 18th 22nd the German Business Group Cambodia (ADW) and the Global Business Network (GBN) Programme co-facilitated the first German Training Week on project development. It was organized by the Project Development Programme (PDP), implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in the framework of the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).

Leading German companies support Polytechnic Institute of Banteay Meanchey Province
Würth and Bosch, two renowned German companies, are going to support the Polytechnic Institute of Banteay Meanchey Province by providing a range of modern tools and machines for its vocational training facilities. The initiators of the cooperation are the GIZ’s Regional Economic Development Programme (RED) IV and ADW – German Business Group Cambodia.

Germany generates world’s largest current account surplus for the third consecutive year
In 2018, Germany was the economy with the largest current account surplus as it was in the previous two years according to Ifo Institute for Economic Research. With 294 billion US dollars, the surplus represents 7.4 percent of the annual economic output.
