The German Business Group Cambodia (ADW), the Global Business Network (GBN) Programme and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Myanmar (AHK Myanmar) are pleased to invite you to the regional events “German business and German development cooperation for sustainable development in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS)” on the 18th and “Industry 4.0 in Cambodia” on the 19th of June 2019 in Phnom Penh.

On February 25th the German Business Group Cambodia (ADW) and the Global Business Network (GBN) Programme welcomed Mr. Crispian Tan, Senior Director SAP University Alliance Programme, in Phnom Penh.

From February 18^th 22^nd the German Business Group Cambodia (ADW) and the Global Business Network (GBN) Programme co-facilitated the first German Training Week on project development. It was organized by the Project Development Programme (PDP), implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, in the framework of the German Energy Solutions Initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi).

Würth and Bosch, two renowned German companies, are going to support the Polytechnic Institute of Banteay Meanchey Province by providing a range of modern tools and machines for its vocational training facilities. The initiators of the cooperation are the GIZ’s Regional Economic Development Programme (RED) IV and ADW – German Business Group Cambodia.

In 2018, Germany was the economy with the largest current account surplus as it was in the previous two years according to Ifo Institute for Economic Research. With 294 billion US dollars, the surplus represents 7.4 percent of the annual economic output.

Mrs. Somaly and Mrs. Kinnary Kong, are the new shareholders of Automotive Asia (Cambodia) Limited and the local distributor for Audi. Mrs. Kinnary Kong has become the Managing Director of the company.

The German Asia-Pacific Business Association (OAV) published the latest volume of its annual business handbook about the entire region. With a print run of 1,000 copies, it consists of current information about Asia in the fields of politics and economics.
