The German Business Group Cambodia (ADW), the Global Business Network (GBN) Programme and the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Myanmar (AHK Myanmar) are pleased to invite you to the regional events “German business and German development cooperation for sustainable development in the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS)” on the 18th and “Industry 4.0 in Cambodia” on the 19th of June 2019 in Phnom Penh.
Located between the two Asian giants, China and India, the GMS is one of the most dynamic regions within Asia. Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam are among the fastest growing economies in the world. They recognize the benefits of regional integration and global inter-connection. Each market offers a wide range of opportunities to German and European companies, from exports of machineries, sustainable energy solutions, finance, technologies for imports of raw materials and light industry products to investments for production and manufacturing. Industry 4.0 is becoming one of the major challenges in transforming the countries’ economies. Foreign trade promotion institutions and German development cooperation in conjunction with their European partners offer a wide range of advisory, support and financing opportunities to private companies in the region.
On the 18th of June, we will discuss major market opportunities within the region and how they can be addressed by joint efforts of German foreign trade promotion, European private sector activities and German development cooperation. Special attention will be paid to Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar and their objectives of integrating into regional manufacturing value chains. On the 19th of June, we would like to invite you to the conference “Industry 4.0 in Cambodia” with a special focus on technology in global textile and garment industries.
