Häfele opens subsidiary in Cambodia

German fitting systems manufacturer Häfele establishes permanent presence in Cambodia

After having been distributed in the Cambodian market for more than a decade, leading German specialist for hardware and fitting systems Häfele has opened a subsidiary in Phnom Penh. As part of its regionalisation strategy, the company is carrying out pioneering work in developing markets such as Cambodia to build up close relationships with local partners.

Among these markets, Cambodia offers a particularly favourable business environment: The country’s post pandemic recovery is well on its way with an expected GDP growth of more than 6 percent this year.

“After working on this market for a few months now, it is a great pleasure to already see positive outcomes – and this is only the beginning,” says Stanislas Hug, Managing Director of Häfele Singapore and Cambodia. “We strongly believe in the future of the country and are glad to be a part of its development”, he adds. The company is already working with several builders and architects on important hotel and residential projects where Häfele can offer the complete range of furniture fittings and door ironmongery, but also household appliances and sanitary wares.

Häfele’s history began more than one hundred years ago in Germany, where its headquarters are located. Today, customers from more than 150 countries rely on Häfele’s expertise. With 8,000 employees globally and 38 foreign sales companies and other representatives around the world, the company has become a German success story and global player.

German Business Cambodia extends a heartfelt welcome and congratulations on this significant stride towards tapping the Cambodian market, wishing Häfele every success.
